Apple Honey Buns Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 egg, beaten Milk | ||
| Melted butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/4 cup thick applesauce | ||
| Brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon, firmly packed | |
| Sunflower seeds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Raisins | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Honey | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cut in 1/2 c. butter.
Add enough milk to egg to make 2/3 c.
Slowly add to flour mixture to form a soft dough.
Knead dough 1/2 minute and roll to 14 x 10" rectangle.
Mix together 2 tblsp.butter, applesauce, 2 tblsp. brown sugar, sunflower seeds and raisins.
Spread over dough.
Roll dough from long side and cut into 8 slices.
Combine 1/3 c.brown sugar, honey and 2 tblsp. butter and heat enough to dissolve sugar.
Spoon 1 tablespoonful topping into 8 large, greased muffin pans.
Place slices flat side down in muffin pans.
Brush tops with remaining topping mixture.
Bake in 400° oven 15-20 minutes.
Sprinkle with sunflower seeds.
