Apple & Herb Roasted Turkey Recipe
Ingredients
| Sage | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| Rosemary | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Turkey | 1 | |
| Apple | 1 Medium, quartered | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, halved | |
| 1 celery rib, halved | ||
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| 1/2 cup apple jelly, warmed | ||
Directions
Combine the sage and rosemary.
With fingers, carefully loosen the skin from the turkey breast; rub herbs under the skin.
Secure the skin to underside of turkey breast with toothpicks.
Place breast side up on a rack in a roasting pan.
Stuff the turkey with the apple, onion and celery.
Brush with the butter.
Bake, uncovered, at 3250 for 3 to 3-1/2 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 1800, basting occasionally with the pan drippings.
Brush with apple jelly.
Cover and let stand for 15 minutes before removing the toothpicks and carving.
