Fried Apples Recipe
Apple Fritters is a tasty and wonderful preparation that is perfect for your child's birthday party! I am sure you will get hooked to this Apple Fritters recipe.
Ingredients
4 oz. flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks, plus 1 egg white
1 tablespoon cooking oil
5 fl. oz. milk
1 lb. cooking apples
Juice of 1 lemon castor sugar
4 oz. butter
Directions
Sift the flour and salt into a medium sized mixing bowl.
Make a well in the centre of the flour and put in the egg yolks, white and oil.
With a wooden spoon, mix them, slowly incorporating the flour and gradually adding the milk.
Mix to a smooth batter, then beat well.
Cover and keep in a cool place for 30 minutes.
Peel and core the apples and slice into rings 1/4 inch thick.
Lay the rings on a plate and sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar.
In a large frying pan, melt the butter over high heat.
Using a skewer, dip the apple rings into the batter and drop them one by one into the hot butter.
Cook the rings on both sides until they are golden brown.
Arrange on a plate and dredge with castor sugar.
