Apple Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream cheese | 3 Ounce | |
| Butter or margarine | ||
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 4 apples, peeled and cored | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon Syrup | ||
Directions
Sift flour and blend in cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, and salt.
Chill.
Roll to a rectangle about 9 x 14 inches on lightly floured board.
Cover with coarsely grated apples; sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon and dot with butter.
Roll as for jelly roll.
Cut into 1 1/2-inch slices; place, cut side up, 1 inch apart, in buttered shallow baking dish (8 x 14 inches) or unbuttered individual custard cups.
Cover with Cinnamon Syrup.
Bake in preheated hot oven (400°F.) for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to slow (325°F.) and bake for 45 minutes longer.
