Apple Custard Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Eggs | 3 | |
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Grated rind of 1/2 lemon | ||
| 1 cup grated raw apple | ||
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs), scalded | |
| 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell | ||
| Cinnamon | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 400° F.
MAKING
2. In a bowl combine sugar, salt, lemon rind, apple, add milk and strain. Push apple through the sieve.
3. Spread the mixture over unbaked pie shell and spray small amount of cinnamon over it.
4. Bake the mixture in hot oven for 10 minutes at 400° F and bake for another 30-35 minutes by reducing the temperature to 300° F. Ensure the correct baking texture by inserting the silver knife if it comes clean then the mixture is properly baked.
SERVING
6. Serve warm.
