Apple Cottage Pudding Recipe

| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Egg | 1 Large | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| 2 cups chopped tart green apple; or fresh or frozen cranberries, rinsed | ||

Directions
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
Add egg, milk, and butter and whisk together to blend smoothly.
Stir in apple.
Pour batter into a buttered shallow 2-quart baking dish.
Bake in a 400° oven until well browned, about 35 minutes.
Spoon warm or cool pudding into bowls and top with the lemon sauce.
