Apple Conserve Recipe
Ingredients
| Tart apples | 4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs), finely chopped (unpeeled) | |
| Water | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 3⁄10 Cup (4 tbs) | |
| Raisins | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Fruit pectin package | 1 , powdered | |
| Sugar | 5 Cup (80 tbs) | |
| Walnuts | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped |
Directions
Combine apples, water, lemon juice and raisins in kettle.
Add fruit pectin; stir well.
Place over high heat and bring to a full boil.
Stirring constantly, stir in sugar.
Bring to a full boil again.
Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in nuts.
Remove from heat.
Skim and stir 5 minutes.
Ladle into hot, sterilized jars to within 1/2 inch from top.
Adjust jar lids.
Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes
