Apple Coffee Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Biscuit mix | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Milk | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 Small, slightly beaten | |
| Oil or melted shortening - 3 tablespoons | ||
| Apple slices | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Walnuts - 1/3 cup, coarsely chopped | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 400°F.
2 Lightly grease a 8x12" dish
MAKING
3 In a bowl, combine the biscuit mix, sugar, salt and cinnamon.
4 In another bowl, mix together milk, eggs and oil.
5 Gradually stir into the dry ingredients.
6 Spread the batter evenly in the prepared dish.
7 Cover with apple slices.
8 In a mixing bowl, blend together brown sugar, flour and cinnamon.
9 Coarsely cut in butter.
10 Add in nuts and sprinkle over the top of apple slices.
11 Bake in hot oven for about 35 minutes.
SERVING
12 Cut and serve.
