Apple Chutney Recipe

This Apple chutney is a great accompaniment for any of your main dishes including meat and ham. This Apple chutney recipe will for sure delight you over the winter months. Here's an easy way on how to make it!

Ingredients

 
1 lb (1/2 kilo) cooking apples, peeled and chopped
 
4 oz (100g) onions, peeled and chopped
 
3 oz (75g) sultanas
 
1/4 pint (150ml) cider vinegar
 
2 oz (50g) raw cane sugar
 
1/4 teaspoonful ground ginger
 
1/4 teaspoonful sea salt

Directions

Cook the apple, onion, sultanas (golden seedless raisins) and dates in the vinegar until soft.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
Bring to the boil and simmer until you have a thick chutney.
Put into clean, hot jars and allow to cool before covering.
