Apple Chip Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Shortening | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), firmly packed | |
| 1/4. cup light molasses | ||
| Eggs | 3 | |
| Flour | 3 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Walnuts | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1 cup finely chopped, peeled apples | ||
| Chocolate Chips package | 1 | |
Directions
Cream together shortening and brown sugar until light and fluffy; add molasses.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
Add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
Stir in nuts, apples and chocolate chips.
Mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet.
Bake in 350° oven 12-15 minutes, or until done.
