Apple Cake Recipe
No one can stop at just one is my claim for this recipe of Apple Cake. A great Dessert recipe is one like this. I am sure both of us will be in agreement that this Apple Cake is very delectable.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter or shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup finely chopped apples (packed)
Directions
Cream shortening, add sugar and continue to cream.
Add beaten egg.
Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
Add cup of chopped apples last.
Put in a greased, floured oblong pan about 12 by 7 1/2. inches.
Bake at 350 degrees for fifty minutes.
