Cider Apple Butter Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 pounds well-flavored apples, stemmed and quartered | ||
| 2 cups cider or water | ||
| Sugar | ||
| Ground cinnamon | 3 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground allspice | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Cook apples in cider or water until soft.
Strain pulp.
To each cup of pulp add 1/2 cup sugar.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture sheets from spoon.
Pour into hot sterilized jars.
Store in cool dry place.
