Easy Apple Brown Betty Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 cups small bread cubes | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Ground cinnamon | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| 3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||
| 4 cups chopped peeled tart apples | ||
| 1 cup medium cream | ||
| Ground nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Mix first 5 ingredients and arrange in alternate layers with apples in 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (375°F.) for 1 hour, or until apples are tender and top is brown.
