Ingredients

 Butter/Margarine3 Tablespoon
 Soft bread crumbs2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Packed brown sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Orange juice1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Ground nutmeg1 Teaspoon
 Apples5 Medium, sliced

Directions

1. Place margarine in medium bowl. Microwave uncovered on high 30 to 60 seconds or until melted. Add bread crumbs; toss until well coated with margarine.
2. Mix remaining ingredients. Arrange half of the apple mixture in square dish, 8 x 8 x 2 inches. Top with half of the bread crumb mixture. Repeat with remaining apple and bread crumb mixtures.
3. Microwave uncovered on high 14 to 16 minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn every 5 minutes, until apples are tender. Serve warm and with ice cream if desired.
