Apple And Walnut Tea Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 4 Ounce | |
| Caster sugar | 4 Ounce | |
| Eggs | 2 Large | |
| 1 level tbsp. honey or golden syrup | ||
| Sultanas | 4 Ounce | |
| Shelled walnuts | 2 Ounce, chopped | |
| 8 oz. self-raising flour | ||
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| Mixed spice | 1 Teaspoon (Leveled) | |
| 1 medium cooking apple, peeled cored and chopped | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Take a loaf tin of dimensions 8.5"X4.5"X2.5" and line it with greased greaseproof paper
MAKING
2. In a large bowl, add all the ingredients and beat well until well blended
3. Turn this into the prepared loaf tin, level its surface and bake in the oven at 350°F for an hour
4. After an hour, reduce the temperature to 325°F and bake for another twenty minutes
5. Turn it out on a wire rack nd allow to cool
SERVING
6. Serve as per your desires
