Apple and Cinnamon Flapjacks Recipe
Ingredients
| Low-fat mspread (e.g. St Ivel 'Gold') - 100 g (3 1/2 oz) | ||
| Muscovado sugar | 75 Gram | |
| Golden syrup | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Porridge oats | 175 Gram | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Dried apple chunks-75 g (2 3/4 oz), chopped into bite-size pieces | ||
| Currants | 25 Gram | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat gas oven to 170°C.
2. In a square tin line greaseproof baking paper.
MAKING
3. In a heavy based saucepan add low fat spread, syrup and sugar.
3. Heat over medium flame. Keep stirring to melt and blend the ingredients well.
4. Mix cinnamon, currants, apple pieces, raisins and oats.
5. Pour the mixture in the tin.
6. Bake 15 minutes.
7. Cool and cut in 12 squares.
SERVING
8. Serve apple and cinnamon flapjacks as a dessert.
