Cold Cut Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients
1 small loaf Italian bread, cut into 16 slices
1/3 cup bottled Italian salad dressing
Romaine
4 medium size tomatoes, each cut in 6 thin slices
2 packages (6 ounces each) assorted sliced cold cuts
4 slices provolone cheese, halved (from an 8 ounce package)
8 large fresh mushrooms, washed, trimmed and sliced thin
OR: 1 can (3 or 4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
12 small green onions, washed and trimmed
Watercress
Corn chips
Red and green pepper strips
Directions
Place 4 slices bread on each of 4 serving plates; drizzle with salad dressing; top with romaine.
Layer bread this way: Tomatoes, meat, tomatoes, cheese, meat and mushrooms; lay 3 green onions across top of each sandwich.
Tuck sprigs of watercress between layers or around edge of plates.
Garnish plates with corn chips and pepper strips.
Serve with ripe and stuffed green olives, and additional salad dressing, if you wish.
