Anise Sugar Syrup Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dry sherry | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Corn syrup | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 teaspoon anise seeds | ||
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan, bring to a boil.
Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Strain.
Serve at room temperature over waffles or pancakes
