Directions

GETTING READY
1) Grease a cookie sheet.

MAKING
2) Beat an egg till light.
3) In a large mixing bowl, sift together the sugar, salt, and flour.
4) Mix in the lemon rind.
5) Add in the egg, anise oil and aniseed and mix.
6) Drop 1/2 teaspoonfuls onto the cookie sheet, placing 1 inch apart.
7) Stand for 12 to 24 hours at room temperature.
8) Place in oven at 300 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, till the tops are lightly browned.
9) Store in airtight containers.

SERVING
10) Serve as a tea time snack.
