 Cake flour or all purpose flour- 1 cup
 Confectioner’s sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg whites2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cream of tartar1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Pure vanilla extract2 Teaspoon
 Granulated Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY
1. Start by preheating the oven to 350°F

MAKING
2. In a bowl, sort the flour and confectioners' sugar together, and set it aside
3. In an electric mixer, beat in the egg whites, cream of tartar, and vanilla in a large, grease-free bowl until soft peaks form
3. While beating, continue to add the granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, keep beating until all the sugar is mixed properly and the egg whites form stiff peaks
4. Take a rubber spatula, and use it to fold the sorted dry ingredients into the beaten egg whites, make sure not to overmix
5. In an ungreased 10-inch tube pan, pour the batter.
6. Finally bake for 40 minutes, or till the cake is firm to the touch,once baked completely remove the cake from the oven, invert the pan, and cool upside down on a wire rack for about 60-90 minutes
7. Take a spatula and remove the edges of the cake, then remove from the pan

SERVING
8. Serve with cream or coffee

TIPS
Note: Angel food cake does not need to be cut, you can gently tear it apart with your fingers or with a fork
