Angel Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
1 pkg. or 1 cake yeast
5 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. vegetable shortening
1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening; add buttermilk and yeast.
Work until well moistened.
You can keep in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container and use as needed.
Bake like biscuits at 400" for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
