Recipe Story

Andhra Majjiga, is my regular afternoon drink during summers, apart from cooling from within the drink has a wonderful quality of inducing sleep. For sleep lovers like me, it does a great job in luring me to sleep, with a super cool effect.

Ingredients

 Water400 Milliliter (large pinch)
 Curd100 Milliliter
 Green chillies2 , finely chopped
 Ginger piece1⁄2 Inch, grated or crushed
 Lemon juice2 Tablespoon
 Salt To Taste
 Coriander leaves1 Tablespoon (a few leaves)
 Mustard seeds1⁄2 Teaspoon
 Oil1⁄2 Teaspoon

Directions

MAKING
1. In blender, add water, curd and blend well.
2. Add chopped green chillies, grated ginger, lemon juice, salt, coriander leaves and mix well.

FINALISING
3. In a pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, allow to splutter, add curry leaves, remove from heat and add to the majjiga and cover and blend with a churner.
4. Chill in refrigerator.

SERVING
5. Serve chilled.
