 Basmati rice1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Ghee1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Onion1 Small, finely chopped
 Garlic2 Clove (5gm)
 Turmeric powder1/2 Teaspoon
 Eggs-6 large, hard-cooked shelled and carefully pricked with fork
 Red Chili powder1 Teaspoon
 Salt1 To taste
 Water2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 White cumin seeds-1 teaspoon
 Bay leaves2 (Whole spices:)
 Cinnamon stick1 (Whole spices:)
 Brown cardamom1 (Whole spices:)
 Green cardamom pods -2
 Black peppercorns4 To taste (Whole spices:)
 Tomatoes -2 firm, thick slices
 Green chili1 (Garnishing:)
 Garam masala1/2 Teaspoon (Garnishing:)
 Coriander1 Tablespoon, chopped (Garnishing:)

Directions

GETTING READY
1)Clean, wash and soak the rice for some 30 minutes.

MAKING
2)In a pan, heat ghee and fry onion and garlic with all the whole spices until onion is golden.
3)Add the turmeric powder and the eggs and fry for 5 minutes. Turn eggs few times.
4)Then, add red chilli powder and rice and stir for 2 minutes.
5)Add salt and water. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes on medium heat, until rice is tender.
6)Take a serving plate, put the rice and garnish with tomatoes and chili.

SERVING
7)Serve with a sprinkling of garam masala and chopped coriander.
