Amber Orange Tea Punch Recipe

Amber orange tea punch is a ginger ale tea punch. Prepared with cinnamon and cloves to flavor, the amber orange tea punch has equal amounts of ale and orange juice in it. Chilled and served in punch bowls, they make a great party drink.

Ingredients

 Water2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Tea bags4
 Orange juice2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar2 Tablespoon
 2 cinnamon sticks, cracked
 Whole Cloves12
 Ginger ale2 Bottle (1l), chilled

Directions

In a small heavy saucepan (preferably nonmetallic), bring the water to a boil over moderately high heat about 2 minutes.
Pour the boiling water into a 1 quart heatproof pitcher, add the tea bags, and steep for 8 minutes or until the tea is as strong as desired.
Remove and discard the tea bags.
Pour 1 cup of the orange juice into the same saucepan and add the sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.
Bring to a boil, lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove the orange juice mixture from the heat and pour it into a 2 quart heatproof bowl or pitcher.
Stir in the remaining orange juice and the tea, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
Just before serving, strain into a punch bowl or pitcher and stir in the ginger ale.
