Amaretto Brownies Recipe
This Amaretto brownie recipe will not make you forget its taste forever. It will taste like the best Amaretto recipe you have ever eaten. A delight to your palate!
Ingredients
1 cup shortening
4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons amaretto or other almond flavored liqueur
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Amaretto Frosting
3 to 4 tablespoons sliced almonds
How to make Amaretto Brownies
Combine shortening and chocolate in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted.Add sugar, stirring well.
Remove from heat, and cool.
Stir in eggs and amaretto.
Combine flour and salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring well.
Pour batter into a lightly greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 400° for 20 minutes; cool.
Frost with Amaretto Frosting.
Arrange almonds over top, and cut into 2-inch squares.
