| Cornmeal | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 6 small taco shells, or 6 flour tortillas Shredded lettuce Chopped tomatoes Shredded cheese | ||
Directions
Brown meat, breaking it up as it browns. Skim off fat. Add cumin, chili powder, salt, onion, apple, tomato sauce, and water. Combine well. Stir in cornmeal. Cook about 1/2 hour, or to desired thickness. Stuff taco shells. Pass shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and cheese in bowls to be served with the tacos. Or warm flour tortillas gently in a dry frying pan (both sides). Spoon filling on one-half of tortilla. Fold the other half over the filling and serve, with the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese to be added by guests.
