Aloo Gobhi Ki Sabji Recipe Video

This is a wonderful, simple and exotic (to me!) side dish. It pairs well with any curry or meat dish.

Recipe Story

I've had this so often when out to eat that I had to try a version at home.

Ingredients

1 small head cauliflower, broken into small florets

1 Tbs water

2 Tbs ghee

1 Tbs green onion, chopped

1 tsp cumin seed

1 tsp yellow mustard seed

1 lb baby yukon gold potatoes, boiled in skins, cooled and peeled and diced

1/4 tsp ground tumeric

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp ground corriander

Directions

heat ghee in cast iron skillet, add cumin and mustard seeds and cook over medium heat.
when seeds begin to "pop" add cauliflower and a little water and cook covered for 10 minutes, until cauliflower begins
to brown. Add tumeric, ginger and corriander, add potatoes and gently stir. Sprinkle with green onions and heat through.

Those long thin Indian chiles (F1) just slit 4 ways but leave the stem attahed, they aren't spicey just have a great flavour.
