Aloo Chokha Recipe

Mixed chokha is very easy to prepare. It will be ready to eat in few minutes. It is an unique and traditional Bihari side dish. Aloo Chokha is generally eaten during illness period as it is simple and easy to digest .Therefore chokha is commonly considered to be India’s comfort food . Directions

Point 1. Put all the washed potatoes in the container you want to boil it in.

Point 2. Fill the container with water, so that there should be atleast 6-7 cm of water level above potatoes

Point3 . Boil them on high heat.

Point 4. If you are using a pressure cooker. You can leave it on the gas till it whistles 4-5 times. If the container is an open one. you need to boil it for 15-18 min

Point 5. Now take the potatoes out and let them cool for 4-5 minutes.

Point 6. Peel the potatoes.

Point 7. Mash them in a bowl with hand. If it is too hot to handle by hand, then you can use anything which can press the potatoes.

point 8. Add 1 teaspoon oil and salt to it. Mix well.

Point 9. Heat oil in a pan.

Point 10.Add green chilies and onion. Fry till golden brown on medium heat.

Point 11.Add mashed potato and fry for 4 minutes.

Point 12.Serve with Litti.
