Directions

MAKING
1) In a saucepan, combine the milk and egg yolk with the sugar
2) Cook over a low heat continually stirring till a custard like consistency is obtained
3) Add in the salt and almond flavouring
4) Dissolve the gelatin in ΒΌ cup of cold water and stir into the hot custard
5) Allow to cool
6) Using an electric beater, whip the egg whites till stiff and fold into the custard
7) Using a knife split the lady fingers and pour the fingers
8) In a 9 inch tube pan line with lady fingers and pour the custard over
9) Place in the refrigerator to set
10) Unmold on a serving dish and frost with whipping cream

SERVING
11) Chill thoroughly and serve
