Almond Oat Wafers Recipe
Almond Oat Wafers are very healthy and yummy cookies that can be made for kids and adults. This cookie has the crunchiness of almonds and health of oats. You can bake the almond oat wafers anytime for team time snacks. Try baking them fresh.
Ingredients
Shortening-1/4 cup
Sugar -2/3 cup
Eggs-2, well beaten
Quick-cooking oats -1/2 cup
Un-blanched almonds-3/4 cup, finely-chopped
Lemon extract -1 teaspoon
Salt-1/4 teaspoon
All-purpose flour-1/3 cup, sifted
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, beat together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
2)Add eggs and beat again.
3)In another bowl, add oats, almonds, flavoring, salt and flour. Mix well.
4)Take greased and floured baking sheets and drop spoonsful on it, about 3 inches apart.
5)Bake at 350 degrees for 13 to 14 minutes.
6)Remove from baking sheet while cookies are warm.
SERVING
7)Serve the almond oat wafers to kids and adults.
