Almond Crescents Recipe
This Almond Crescents is something I used to look for whenever mum served me my cup of evening tea. Here's a truly awesome and enjoyably delicious recipe for Almond Crescents from my mum's scrapbook! Try it out and enjoy!
Ingredients
Soft butter - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/3 cup
Sifted flour - 12/3 cups
Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Blanched almonds - 2/3 cup, ground
Directions
MAKING
1) In a bowl, add together the butter and sugar and cream till light and fluffy.
2) Mix in the flour and salt and mix well.
3) Add in the almonds and blend.
4) Refrigerate for several hours.
5) Roll out into long pencil-sized rolls.
6) Cut into 2 1/2-inch lengths.
7) Pull the ends around to form crescents.
8) Arrange on an ungreased baking sheet.
9) Place in the oven at 325° F and bake3 for 14 to 16 minutes.
SERVING
10) Best enjoyed with a nice hot cup of tea!
