Almond Coffee Cream Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup homogenized milk
1 cup strong coffee, such as Jamaican or Viennese
1 to 3 tsp granulated sugar
1/8 to 1/4 tsp almond flavouring, or 1 to 2 Tbsp almond liqueur
1/2 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Directions
Heat milk in small saucepan just until bubbles form around the edges.
Stir in strong coffee and 1 teaspoon sugar; cook until piping hot, stirring occasionally.
Taste; add more sugar, if you wish.
Remove from the heat and stir in almond flavouring or liqueur.
Pour into mugs.
Whip cream in a small bowl and top each mug with a generous dollop.
Sprinkle with toasted almond slices and serve.
