 Firmly packed brown sugar1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Whipping cream1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 3 tablespoons firm butter or margarine, cut into pieces
 Salt1 Dash
 Slivered almonds1/2 Cup (16 tbs), roasted
 Vanilla1/2 Teaspoon

Directions

In a 4 cup glass measure, stir together sugar, cream, butter, and salt.
Microwave, uncovered, on HIGH (100%) for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes (stirring every minute) or until mixture boils.
Stir in almonds and vanilla.
Let stand, covered with wax paper, for 10 to 15 minutes to thicken.
