Almond Shapes Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 quantity Almond paste | ||
| A few drops of green food colouring | ||
| A few drops of pink food colouring | ||
Directions
1. Divide the almond paste into 3 equal-sized pieces. Leave one third plain and knead a few drops of green food colouring into another third and a few drops of pink food colouring into the remainder.
2. Roll out each piece of almond paste into a 15 cm/6 in square. Place the plain square over the green square and top with the pink. Roll lightly with the rolling pin to seal together.
3. Trim the edges, then cut into 2.5 cm/1 in strips. Cut the strips into oblongs or diamond shapes and place in petits four cases.
