Almond Fruit Flan Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 8 Ounce (For almond pastry) | |
| Caster sugar | 4 Ounce (For almond pastry) | |
| Butter | 4 Ounce (For almond pastry) | |
| Egg yolks | 3 (For almond pastry) | |
| Almond essence - 2-3 drops of | ||
| Ground almonds | 4 Ounce (For almond pastry) | |
| Mixture of fresh fruit in season such as pears, grapes, pineapple, bananas, strawberries, greengages, etc. | ||
| Apricot glaze | ||
| Whipped cream for serving | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2.Sieve flour on a platform.
3.Fold in sugar, butter, yolks and almond essence.
4.Add a sprinkling of ground almonds.
5.Mix well and refrigerate for 1 hour.
MAKING
6.Roll the dough and bake it for 20 -25 minutes after lining it on the flan ring.
7.Once done, take off the ring, apply apricot glaze on the flan and leave to cool.
8.Arrange the seasonal fruits; pears, grapes, pineapples, strawberries and bananas in the flan case.
9.Apply the apricot glaze again.
SERVING
10.Serve warm with whipped cream.
