Almond Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
3/4 cup (175 ml) softened butter
1/2 cup (125 ml) granulated sugar
3/4 cup (175 ml) ground almonds
1 3/4 cups (425 ml) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (50 ml) light cream
2 tbsp (30 ml) cold water
Directions
Place butter, sugar and almonds in bowl; cream together.
Add flour and incorporate with pastry blender.
Pour in cream and pinch dough with fingers.
Add water, incorporate and shape dough into ball.
Cover with waxed paper and refrigerate 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Place dough on floured surface and roll until about 1/4 inch (0.65 cm) thick.
Dust with more flour if needed.
Using assorted cookie cutters, form shapes and place on buttered cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
