Almond Chive Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt 10 whole almonds, blanched
1 clove garlic
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar or cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
2 tablespoons snipped fresh chives or minced tarragon
Directions
1 In a food processor or blender, whirl 1/4 cup of the yogurt with the almonds, garlic, oil, vinegar, salt, and red pepperfor 15 seconds.
Using a rubberspatula, scrape down the sides of the work bowl; whirl 15 seconds longer.
2 Transferthe mixture to a small bowl and stir in the remaining yogurt and the chives.
Coverand refrigerate for at least 1 hour; will keep for up to 5 days
