Almond Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Almond essence | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Blanched almonds | 20 | |
| Warm milk for kneading | ||
| Butter | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground almonds | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Sieve flour and baking powder together.
Mix ground almonds to it.
Mix sugar, butter and almond essence nicely in a large mixing bowl.
Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and knead to a hard dough with warm milk.
Keep covered in the fridge for 1/2 hour.
Knead the dough again and roll out into 1/2 cm thick sheet.
Cut round biscuits.
Place one almond in the centre of each biscuit.
Place biscuits in a tray leaving space in between.
Prick the biscuits with fork.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes.
Cool for 2-3 minutes and remove from the tray.
Cool completely.
