All-American Hot Dish Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Whole kernel corn | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Ripe olives | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), halved | |
| Noodles | 4 Ounce, uncooked | |
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Oregano leaves | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Shredded Cheddar cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
Cook and stir meat and onion in large skillet until meat is brown.
Drain off fat.
Stir in corn (with liquid) and remaining ingredients.
to cook in skillet: heat mixture to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender, about 20 minutes.
to cook in oven: Pour mixture into ungreased 2 quart casserole.
Cover and bake in 375° oven 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Uncover and bake until mixture thickens, about 15 minutes.
