 Cornmeal 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking soda1 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 1 egg, lightly beaten
 Butter2 Tablespoon, melted
 Buttermilk1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
2. Mix together the cornmeal, baking soda, and salt.
3. Add the egg, butter, and buttermilk and mix only until the dry ingredients are moistened. Turn into a well-oiled deep 9-inch pie plate.
4. Bake on the top rack of the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until well browned.
