Alberta Mincemeat Recipe
Ingredients
14 cups chopped cooked beef
3 cups chopped suet
28 cups chopped apples
3 qts. boiled cider
2 qts. molasses
10 lbs. sugar
3 lbs. currants
3 Ibs. raisins
1/2 lb. mixed citrus peel
1 qt. boiling water
8 oz. ground cinnamon
2 oz. ground cloves
8 oz. ground coriander
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a very large kettle.
Cook until apples are soft.
Ladle mixture into sterilized jars, seal, and store in a cool place.
