Alabama Ham Bake Recipe

Eating just one is not possible for any one is my claim for this recipe of Alabama Ham Bake. Treat your family to this delicious Alabama Ham Bake. They are going to simply adore it.

Ingredients

 
2 medium-size sweet potatoes, pared and sliced thin
 
3 medium-size pears, pared, quartered, cored and sliced
 
3 cups diced cooked ham (about 1 pound)
 
3 tablespoons brown sugar
 
1/2 teaspoon salt
 
1/4 teaspoon pepper
 
1/4 teaspoon curry powder
 
1/3 cup apple cider
 
1 cup pancake mix
 
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
 
1 cup milk
 
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

Directions

1 Layer half each of the sweet potatoes, pears and ham in an 8-cup baking dish.
2 Mix brown sugar, salt, pepper and curry powder in a cup; sprinkle half on top of layers in baking dish.
Repeat with remaining sweet potatoes, pears, ham and seasonings; pour apple cider over; cover.
3 Bake in moderate oven (375°) 40 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender.
4 While ham mixture bakes, combine pancake mix, mustard, milk and melted butter or margarine in a medium-size bowl, blending well to make a thin batter; pour over hot ham mixture.
5 Bake, uncovered, 20 minutes longer, or until pancake topping is puffed and golden.
