Alabama Sour Milk Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 cup soft butter or margarine | ||
| Buttermilk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Cut in butter with pastry blender.
Add enough sour milk to make a soft dough, mixing lightly with fork.
Turn out on floured board and knead about 20 turns.
Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with floured 2-inch cutter.
Bake in preheated very hot oven (450°F.) for 10 to 12 minutes.
