Directions

Wash and dry raisins.
Sift soji and flour.
Crumble the mawa.
Warm and crush saffron.
Beat eggs until creamy.
Add sugar and continue beating.
When sugar is dissolved, add mawa and stir vigorously.
Add ghee, gradually, and keep stirring.
When the mixture is rather thick and difficult to stir, fold in the sifted flour and soji.
Add raisins, saffron and cardamom, nutmeg powders and pour into a shallow well-greased tray and bake in a slow oven for 1 1/2 hours, or till golden brown.
Cool tray on a rack.
Cut aflatoon into bars and wrap in butter paper.
These will keep well for several days.
