Acorn Ham Bake Recipe
Ingredients
| Acorn squash | 3 Medium | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Milk | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Saltine crackers | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs), crushed | |
| Packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Apple | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Prepared mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| 1 pound ground fully cooked ham | ||
Directions
Cut the squash in half lengthwise; remove the seeds.
Place squash, cut side down, in a shallow baking pan.
Bake at 350° till tender, about 45 minutes.
Turn squash over.
Salt each half lightly; dot with margarine or butter.
Combine the beaten egg, milk, saltine crackers, brown sugar, chopped apple, chopped onion, prepared mustard, and pepper.
Add the ground ham; mix well.
Fill the squash shells with the ham mixture.
Continue baking till the ham mixture is heated through, about 20 minutes.
