Abalone Soup Recipe
Abalone soup is just right for the cold weather. When it is cold outside you sure want to cozy up with a nice book on your favorite chair. This soup is just what you are looking for, just right for a lovely day indoors.

Ingredients
| Lean pork -1/4 lb., sliced thin | ||
| Soy sauce | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 2 | |
| Salt | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Mushrooms | 4 Medium | |
| Celery - 2 stalks | ||
| Abalone | 8 Ounce, canned | |
| Green onion | 1 | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Slice mushrooms thinly; cut celery into diagonal slices.
2. Cut abalone into 1-inch square pieces
MAKING
3. In a large saucepan, combine pork, soy sauce, sugar, cornstarch, 1 1/2 teaspoons oil and pepper and mix well.
4. In another small skillet, heat the rest of the oil and fry ginger in it. Add to pork mixture and mix well. Pour in salt and 6 cups boiling water.
5. Add mushrooms and celery to pork mixture and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes..
6. Add abalone to soup; simmer for 5 minutes and serve.
SERVING
7. Garnish with green onion
