Ingredients

 
1 Abalone, sliced & pounded
 
3 Beaten Eggs
 
1/2 Can Beer
 
Cracker Meal or Dried French Bread Crumbs
 
1 Can Ortega Sauce, mild (Green Chile Salsa)
 
1/2 to 1 Lb. Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
 
Onions, chopped

Directions

Mix beer into beaten eggs.
Put sliced abalone into beer mixture.
Put cracker meal on both sides.
Lay abalone flat & fill across center with spoonfuls of Ortega sauce, onions and cheese.
Roll up abalone and seal closed with a toothpick.
Fry in 1/2 to 1 inch of oil.
Make sure oil is real hot.
Fry abalone just until browned on all sides.
Then remove and place them into a casserole dish as they come out of the oil.
Keep them warm in oven set on low until they are browned enough for whatever size serving you need for your meal.
