A.B.C. Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| White sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg yolks | 2 , beaten | |
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Bread crumbs | 13/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
| 1 lemon, rind and juice | ||
Directions
Cream butter add sugar and egg yolks.
Mix bread crumbs with baking powder and salt, add to first mixture.
Then beat in milk, lemon juice and rind.
Pour into a well greased deep dish.
Bake at 325F for about 1/2 hour or less depending on size of baking dish.
Remove from oven and spread top with jam.
Beat 2 egg whites until stiff with 1 teaspoon sugar.
Spread over jam, and bake until brown.
