| Quadruple quantity Buttercream | ||
| 23 cm (9 inch) round plate | ||
| Selection of 'fake' diamante jewellery including a large ring | ||
Directions
1. Cut the larger cake in half horizontally and sandwich it with the jam and a little of the buttercream. Put the cake on the plate and spread the top and sides with half the remaining buttercream, spreading it in an even layer with a palette knife.
2. Cut the smaller cake in half horizontally and put one half on the large cake. Spread with more buttercream. Using a small cup or glass as a guide, cut out a circle, 7.5 cm (3 inches) across, from the other piece of cake. Put it on top of the cake and spread it with the remaining buttercream.
3. Gently press the ring on to the top of the cake. Use the remaining jewellery to decorate the sides of the cake.
