Healthy Baked Lasagna

Lasagna noodles - 16 Ounce (1 Box)
Lean ground turkey - 1 Pound
Onion - 1 , chopped
Tomato paste - 8 Ounce (1 Small Can)
Canned chopped italian seasoned tomatoes - 15 Ounce , drained (1 Large Can)
Sugar - 2 Tablespoon
Italian seasoning - 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Oregano - 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Garlic/Garlic salt - 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Fat free small curd cottage cheese - 4 Ounce
Egg whites - 2 , beaten
Shredded mozzarella cheese - 2 Cup (32 tbs) (Use Less For Lower Fat Version)
While making meat mixture, cook lasagna noodles.
Sauté the chopped onion for 3 minutes. Then add the turkey and cook until pink is gone. Add the sugar, tomato paste, can of chopped tomatoes, and seasonings. Simmer for about 10 minutes. Add Prego sauce and simmer 3-5 more minutes.
1st Layer: In a 9 x 13 casserole dish, place noodles on the bottom & overlay them slightly.
2nd Layer: Meat mixture (reserve just a little to drizzle on the top).
3rd Layer: Cottage Cheese & Egg Mixture
4th Layer: Mozzarella Cheese
5th Layer: Noodles
6th Layer: Drizzle the remaining meat mixture on the top and garnish with leftover Mozzarella.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.
